In Rome, from September 15 to 18, 2016 the Days of Tatar culture and holiday Sabantui were held.
The event was organized by a cultural organization “The Tatars in Italy” with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, the World Congress of Tatars and the Republic of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture.
On the holiday of Tatar culture guests from England, Germany, Switzerland, Russia and Kazakhstan were present.
High public have been presented paintings by artist Alfred Shaimardanov, an exhibition of books by Tatar authors, exhibition of folk costumes.
The concert program was attended by the soloist of the opera house in Venice Rafis Khusnutdinov, multi-instrumentalist from Frankfurt Musa Malikov.
Musicians demonstrated their great skill, performing works of Russian, Italian and Tatar composers.
At the end of September 18, for the guests of the festival, who came from far away, a visit was organized by the “Rome – The Eternal City”.

The Cultural Association “Tatars in Italy” was founded in 2013, and is a part of the European Alliance of Tatars. The main mission of the association is the promotion of Tatar culture in Italy.
