Vasil Shaykhraziyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, visited the Irtyshat Mosque. The mosque is located in the village of Irtyshat Yurts, Tobolsk District, Tyumen Region.
The mosque is believed to have been built in the mid-19th century according to a standard design approved by the Russian government. During the Soviet era, the building was repurposed as a community center and grain storage facility.
Restoration work began in 2014 and continued until 2018. The grand reopening of the restored Irtyshat Yurts Mosque took place in 2018 during the celebration of Kurban Bayram. In 2022, the Irtyshat Mosque was officially designated as a regional cultural heritage site.
