Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan”. This was reported on the official website of the President of Russia.

The full text of the Decree is the following:

“In connection with the expiration of the term of office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, under subparagraph” b “of paragraph 9 of Article 19 of the Federal Law of October 6, 1999 № 184-FZ” On general principles of organization of legislative (representative) and executive bodies of State authorities of the Russian Federation” I hereby Resolve:

1. Assign Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan before taking office by the person elected President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
