On May 4, as part of the celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a meeting was held in St. Petersburg with veterans who had participated in the Great Patriotic War, organized by the “Tatar community of St. Petersburg”, together with the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. From the RT Permanent Mission all veterans received gifts and congratulations, with warm words of health and well-being. To date, 10 veterans, participants in the war and 2 prisoners of concentration camps live in the region.
For most veterans, Victory Day is the main holiday of the year, so this sign of attention on the eve of May 9 they are particularly respected valued. To celebrate the veterans were invited: general public of the city, leaders of national Tatar public organizations.
All veterans are amazing people who have done a lot for the country and continue to take an active life position. In their 90 years, they still infect optimism, very interesting interlocutors, are happy to talk about life and, without exaggeration, serve as examples for impersonation.
