In the satellite city of Volgograd, Volzhsk, on the basis of Institute for the Humanities, a Tatar cultural and educational center has opened.
It is already the second cultural center in the Volga Humanitarian Institute. In 2010, on the basis of this university Armenian culture opened Thanks to a successful practice of cultural exchange and inter-ethnic dialogue, it was decided to keep going this process. With an offer on cooperation with institute, the chairman of the Volga Tatar community Magira Yagubova, who is enthusiastic about the idea, addressed to Humanitarian Institute to start up another center, bringing together Volga Tatar nationality.
Tatar Cultural Centre is designed to acquaint students with the culture and traditions of the Tatars, contribute to the study of Tatar language and history of Tatarstan. In addition, the Center will conduct scientific conferences, youth schools, research, hold archaeological practices of students and students from Volgograd, Kazan Federal University.
