On June 18, the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will host traditional Tatar holiday Sabantuy in the Seaside Park.
At the House of National Wisdom visitors will be able to see the exhibition “Spirituality, culture, enlightenment”, dedicated to Tatar public figures, as well as take part in thematic master classes. A Tatar ritual “meeting the bride at the groom’s house” will be presented at the “Family Hearth” courtyard.
A folk crafts fair and various contests will also be included in the programme of the cultural event.
Sabantuy participants will also be able to take part in entertainment games.
Today Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev held a meeting of the organizing committee for holding the plow holiday in Baku.
