The Kazan Days have officially launched in the capital of Belarus. This is a return visit — last summer, Minsk’s grand celebration was hosted in Kazan.
The main events are taking place near the Palace of Sports. Here, visitors can enjoy original instrumental music, watch performances by renowned Tatar DJs, and explore the work of vocal ensembles and solo artists.
There is also a fair-exhibition and masterclasses teaching how to play traditional Tatar instruments. Guests are offered a taste of national dishes: meat plov, echpochmaks, chak-chak, and tea with milk.
Kazan Days in Minsk will run until May 26. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen not only economic but also cultural ties between Belarus and this Russian region.
Today, the “Tasty Kazan” festival, held as part of Kazan Days, will be attended by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Belarus.
Minsk will become the second city, after Brest, that Rustam Minnikhanov is visiting during his working trip to the Republic of Belarus.
