On 15 June, speaking at an opening ceremony of the XIV All-Russia rural Sabantuy held in the Village of Barda in Perm region, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all participants of the fest, held with participation of about 70 thousand people who came from 50 entities of Russia.

In the current year Barda region celebrates its 100th birthday and in 2013 the village already hosted the All-Russia rural Sabantuy , and, addressing participants and guests of the fest, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We have come here for the second time already. We can see that every year Perm region becomes more and more beautiful. We can also see positive changes happening in the Village of Barda and we are very happy to celebrate our most beloved holiday with you.”

He thanked the leadership of the region for remarkably organized fest and expressed his gratitude to the administration of the Village of Barda for a warm welcome and hospitality.

After the Governor of Perm region Dmitriy Makhonin welcomed participants of the rural Sabantuy-2024, it was announced that the Village of Vyatskiye Polyany in Kirov region is taking the baton of holding the next rural Sabantuy.

The Governor of Kirov region Aleksandr Sokolov also took part in the current fest.

In the end of the ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov and Dmitriy Makhonin handed in state awards of Tatarstan and Perm region.
