The Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre and the Almetyevsk Tatar State Drama Theatre are taking part in the 13th Imre Madách International Theatre Festival (MITEM) in Budapest.
The Kamal Theatre performed the play “Kungelem Kukruzy” based on letters between Anton Chekhov and Lydia Mizinova, directed by the theatre’s chief director Farid Bikchantaev. The performance took place on the stage of the National Theatre in Budapest. A discussion with the audience followed the performance.
According to the festival program, on May 9, the Almetyevsk Drama Theatre’s production “Ezelgen key” directed by Sardar Tagirovski will be shown on the main stage of the National Theatre.
Both productions are being presented as part of the program showcasing theaters of ethnic and linguistic minorities.
