he finals of the fifth season of the historical and cultural contest “Tarkhan” took place in Kazan, at the renovated TSUM department store. This is a unique educational platform aimed at promoting the history of Russia, the region, the Tatar people, and Turkic civilization among young people. The winner of the contest was Amirkhan Iskhakov, a student from Kazan School No. 27 named after Hadi Takhtash.
The second and third place prize-winners were Rashid Aibetov from Ulyanovsk and Aigul Khaertdinova from the Sabinsky District of Tatarstan. All three received priority admission to Kazan Federal University for the “History of Turkic Peoples” academic program.
The members of the contest’s final jury were Irada Ayupova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan; Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for External Relations of KFU; Airat Sitdikov, Director of the A.Kh.
