On May 22, 2026, in the Tarsky Municipal District of the Omsk Region, at the “Lesnaya Polyana” children’s summer camp, a cultural and educational intensive was held within the framework of the “Taiga Games” project.
The event participants included young people, youth work specialists, representatives of local government bodies, non-profit organizations, and activists from various municipal districts of the Omsk Region.
The project’s goal is to help form and strengthen local identity among the younger generation in the northern districts of the Omsk Region, promote love for one’s native land, preserve cultural heritage, and develop small territories through public initiatives and the involvement of local residents.
The intensive’s program included several thematic areas. Participants discussed issues related to social project design, support for youth entrepreneurship, employment opportunities, and youth self-realization, including in rural areas. The program also showcased hospitality and tourism development practices, mechanisms for attracting funding through participatory budgeting, grant competitions, and government support programs. Special attention was paid to media, neural networks, blogging, and the life cycle of a news story.
The event was attended by Rainur Khasanov, Chairman of the Public Organization “World Forum of Tatar Youth.” He spoke to the participants about the implementation of youth and socio-cultural projects, the activities of the World Forum of Tatar Youth, as well as projects aimed at promoting Tatar culture, language, and traditions among young people. Rainur Khasanov shared practical experience in engaging young people in social activities, creating initiatives, and promoting national culture in modern formats.
A special guest of the intensive was Ilyas Farkhullin, a musician from Kazan and mentalist instructor. He conducted a lecture and master class dedicated to traditional musical instruments. Participants learned about the unique sounds of these instruments, their cultural significance, and the role of traditional music in preserving the heritage of different peoples.
The cultural and educational intensive served as a platform for exchanging experiences, gaining new knowledge, and discussing future joint initiatives. The “Taiga Games” project aims to develop youth activity, strengthen the connection to one’s native land, and preserve the cultural diversity of the Omsk Region.
