Sabantuy 2026 took place with grand scale and songs in the Privolzhsky District of Astrakhan.

The main venue for the folk festival, as tradition dictates, was the village of Tri Protoka, where residents from across the region and numerous guests gathered. The organizers prepared a true celebration of friendship among peoples: vibrant concert performances, Tatar and Bashkir songs, folk dances, sports competitions, games for children and adults, as well as delicious traditional national cuisine. Guests arrived for the event from the Muslyumovsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan, which further confirmed strong interregional ties.

The festival grounds were improved in advance — parking lots were set up, lighting and water supply were installed, themed zones and national farmsteads were organized, allowing guests to become acquainted with the culture of the peoples of the Astrakhan Region. Exhibitions of folk art and crafts drew particular interest.

More than 6,000 people attended the event. On that day, the Privolzhsky District became the center of a vibrant cultural event that gave all guests unforgettable emotions and the feeling of a great shared celebration.
