Today, as part of the events of the XVI All-Russian Rural Sabantuy, the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the Governor of the Penza Region, Oleg Melnichenko, visited the village of Maly Truev to inspect the development of local infrastructure.
The distinguished guests visited the primary school, kindergarten, and the Batyr Sports Complex, where they assessed the conditions created for the physical and intellectual development of the younger generation. They also visited the construction site of the “Public Cultural Center,” which will house a new mosque. The leaders discussed the progress of the construction work and emphasized the importance of preserving traditional spiritual and moral values for strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony in rural areas. It was noted that the comprehensive improvement of rural territories helps preserve unique local culture and retain young people in the regions.
The delegation then proceeded to the Sabantuy venue, where they toured the Tatar homesteads of the Penza Region and the Kukmorsky District.
For reference: The village of Maly Truev has about 400 households and a population of approximately 1,300 people. In 2010, entrepreneur Renat Abuzarov built a primary school, a kindergarten, and the Batyr Sports Complex next to the school in his native village. Currently, 31 children study at the school. The Batyr Sports Complex features a gym, aerobics halls, and a football field.
