At this moment, an evening concert is underway in the Kuznetsk District of the Penza Region in honor of the XVI All-Russian Rural Sabantuy.
The event was opened by Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars. He greeted all the guests in the language of Tukay — in the Tatar language. In his speech, Vasil Shaykhraziev emphasized the historical roots of Sabantuy, the friendship between peoples, and the national unity of Russia.
“On Penza soil, Russians, Tatars, Mordvins, and Chuvash live together as one family and preserve the traditions of friendship,” said Vasil Shaykhraziev. He expressed gratitude to the Governor of Penza for the fruitful and successful preparation for Sabantuy and noted the active participation of the Tatarstan delegation in organizational matters.
Vasil Shaykhraziev stressed that Sabantuy is a national-cultural holiday and underscored that Russia’s strength lies in national unity and the friendship of its peoples.
