National tatar holiday Sabantuy held in Arkhangelsk

This year, the square near the Lomonosov Palace of Culture once again became the center of Sabantuy, bringing together residents and guests of the city. Several traditional themed areas were prepared for visitors, where everyone could find an activity to their liking.

Guests of the holiday eagerly enjoyed aromatic pilaf prepared according to traditional recipes, took part in sports competitions to test their agility and strength, and also tried their luck in a prize raffle. Particularly popular were the colorful photo zones, where Sabantuy participants could capture the atmosphere of this vibrant day as a keepsake.

Equally engaging parts of the program were the masterclasses and interactive areas, which allowed visitors to get closer to the culture and traditions of the Tatar people. The holiday once again confirmed that Sabantuy is not only about competitions and entertainment, but also an opportunity to spend time with the whole family, meet friends, and experience an atmosphere of hospitality and unity.

The main event of the day was a grand festive concert featuring Honored Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as city vocal and dance ensembles. Their bright performances gave the audience many positive emotions and created a truly festive mood.

A beautiful finale to Sabantuy was the performance of Sergey Kadnikov, a former member of the band “Dyuna.” The final concert drew a large audience, who happily sang along to familiar songs and bid farewell to the holiday with thunderous applause.

In addition, right during the holiday, Rim Kalimullin, Deputy Chairman of the Arkhangelsk City Duma, handed over another “Niva” (off-road vehicle) to the front.
