Applications submission has been launched for the participation in the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic world: KazanForum”.

On 12 February Rustam Minnikhanov stated that Russia traditionally has close and trustworthy relations with Islamic countries both bilaterally and within the cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The Chairman of the National Council expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani Tatar Youth Center “Yashlek”, which organized this important event.

Vasil Shaykhraziev emphasized that Tatar public associations in Azerbaijan work as a united whole.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the longstanding friendship between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan has been facilitated by the warm personal relationship that existed between Heydar Aliyev and Mintimer Shaimiev.

The delegation included over ten representatives of the Tatar community from countries such as Australia, Peru, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Tajikistan.

At the end of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the Duslyk (Friendship) Order to Serdar Berdimuhamedow.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation.

Armenian Prime Minister will take part in the BRICS Plus/Outreach format meeting.

Turkey is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan.
