On November 22, 2023, the final meeting of Tatar local historians was held in Orenburg. The meeting brought together members of the Council and activists of the local history movement.

The head of the regional society of local historians Anvar Iskandarov summed up the work done in 2023. Almira Omarova summarized the results of the participation of Orenburg local historians in the IX Eurasian Scientific and Local History Forum. The editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper Fanur Gaisarov spoke about the results of the regional contest of journalistic works “Tatar Rukhy”.

The work of the Society of Tatar local historians of the Orenburg region was recognized as satisfactory.

Local historians have adopted the work plan of the regional society for 2024, which includes competitions, excursions, conferences, book presentations, etc. The work will be aimed at expanding the local history movement in the region, preserving the history of the region, studying the life of famous Tatar personalities.
