The traditional holiday of the end of spring field work – Sabantuy – will be held in the Kurgan region. The event will take place on Saturday, July 2, near the village of Safakulevo at the Sabantuyskaya Polyana. Grand opening at 11 o’clock.

National farmsteads will start working from 10 am. Guests of the holiday will be able to get acquainted with the atmosphere of the national color of the Tatars and Bashkirs. At the national farmsteads, not only the life of the peoples, but also the products of local craftsmen will be presented.

On Sabantuy, you will be able to see traditional sports events, for example, demonstration performances of “batyrs” in koresh belt wrestling, arm-wrestling competitions, demonstration of their abilities by kettlebell lifters and more.

The holiday will delight guests of folk Tatar and Bashkir cuisine, including: lamb shish kebab, a wide variety of pastries and, of course, the famous chak-chak with hot tea.

For the smallest participants of Sabantuy, a children’s playground will be open from 12 o’clock.

A cultural program awaits guests: the work of local craftsmen and creative folk talents, both in the courtyards and on the main stage. In addition to the artistic groups of the municipal district, artists from the republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan will perform at the festival.

It is also planned to solemnly reward the workers of the Safakulevsky district for their contribution to the development of the district and the region.
