On February 18,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Russian Federation, Riad Haddad, arrived in Nizhnevartovsk on a working visit. According to the Department of Public and External Relations, he became a member of the third international scientific and practical forum "Oil Capital".

A concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Tatar ASSR was held in Altat. The concert, organized by the public organization RTNCA of the Saratov region and OMTO “Sarytau gathered a full house at the local recreation center.

A round table discussion "Preserving  unity of the Tatar nation during the 2020 census" was held at the Moscow Tatar Headquarters. The round table speakers were Kazan and Moscow scientists, journalists, public figures

At  the library of the Tatar Cultural Center of Moscow, an evening of memory was held dedicated to the 114th birthday of the famous Tatar poet, Hero of the Soviet Union, Lenin Prize laureate Musa Jalil.

The leader of the conversation club Shafikov Rinat at each event holds games, dialogs or skits to learn the native language of our Tatars. February 15 gathered more than 20 people, 5 of whom for the first time.

The presentation of the first published translation of the Tatar heroic epic “IDEGEI” into the Estonian language in adapted version (prose and runic verse) was held at the large hall of the Tallinn Central Library. Participation in the event was attended by  Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Renat Valiullin.

Today in Chelyabinsk the Congress of Tatars held a ceremony dedicated to the 114th anniversary of the birth of the great Tatar poet, Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil.

On February 18, the «Ak Bars» hockey club will host the «Tatarcha Match», a home game against «Avanguard» dedicated to Tatar culture.
