In Ufa  the square after  Tukay  to appear

In Ufa  the square  named after  Tukay  may appear. Deputies of the City Council considered this issue at a meeting of the Presidium. The name of the Tatar poet is proposed to be assigned to the square next to the Ufa State Tatar Theater "Nur", where a monument to the poet is had been erected.

Vasil Shaikhraziev arrives in the Republic of Buryatia on a working visit

This early morning, the Tatarstan delegation, headed by  Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev,  has   arrived in the city of Ulan-Ude. At the Baikal Airport, guests were met by  Chairman of the Republic of Buryatia   RNCAT (Regional National Cultural   Autonomy of Tatars), Sazhida Batalova, Deputy Chief of the Administration of the Head and Government of the Republic of Buryatia, Chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Development of Civil Initiatives Mikhail Kharitonov.

The organizers of the «Uzgaresh Zhile» festival (Wind of Changes) received a letter of thanks from the head of the American Tatar Association

In his letter,  Head of the American Tatar Association Orkhan Agish thanks the organizers and participants of the festival "Uzgaresh Zhile" ("Wind of Changes"). According to him, the festival was a real celebration for representatives of the Tatar communities of North America, who were able to hear their favorite songs and popular works of famous composers in their native language live.

The World Forum of Tatar Youth received the  answer to an open letter regarding installation of a monument   to Ivan the Grozny  in Astrakhan

The administration of Astrakhan extended for two weeks a survey on the installation of a monument to Ivan the Grozny  in connection with a "wide public resonance ." The vote on  attitude of citizens to the installation of a monument to Tsar Ivan IV the Grozny (Terrible) in Astrakhan, announced in mid-December last year, will last until February 3.
