On August 21, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev is on a working trip to Kaliningrad region.

Here he had a meeting with Sergey Eliseev, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad region, the plenipotentiary representative of the Governor of Regional Legislative Assembly. The chairman of the Kaliningrad regional public organization “Tatar-Bashkir Society of Culture “Kardashlar” Amir Khairullin also took part in the meeting.

Vasil Shaykhraziev acquainted Sergey Eliseev with the activities of the National Council of WCT. Besides, plans for further cooperation between the regions were discussed.

They also talked about holding a Sabantuy of the Baltic states. This proposal was supported by the leadership of the region. This initiative is planned to be implemented in the nearest future.
