A monument to the distinguished poet Zakir Ramiyev, known by his pen name Derdemand, was unveiled near the cultural center in the village of Zirgan, Meleuzovsky district of Bashkortostan. The ceremony brought together residents, guests, and admirers of his work in the poet’s birthplace.

Sculptor Ildus Nailovich Zakirov, the creator of the monument, addressed the gathering, sharing his insights on the significance of Ramiyev’s literary contributions to the region’s culture and literature.   • Zakir Ramiyev (1859-1921), whose full name was Muhammetzakir Muhammetsadykovich Rameyev, was a renowned figure in Tatar literature, a skilled goldsmith, and a philanthropist. He was an Orenburg merchant of the first guild and a member of the State Duma’s first convocation, representing the Orenburg province.
