A monument to the distinguished poet Zakir Ramiyev, known by his pen name Derdemand, was unveiled near the cultural center in the village of Zirgan, Meleuzovsky district of Bashkortostan. The ceremony brought together residents, guests, and admirers of his work in the poet’s birthplace.

• Zakir Ramiyev (1859-1921), whose full name was Muhammetzakir Muhammetsadykovich Rameyev, was a renowned figure in Tatar literature, a skilled goldsmith, and a philanthropist. He was an Orenburg merchant of the first guild and a member of the State Duma’s first convocation, representing the Orenburg province.
