A cultural and educational event titled “Day of Tatar Culture” took place at the N.K. Krupskaya Altai Regional Children’s Library.
Young readers and their parents had the opportunity to explore the richness of Tatar culture. The event was led by Flora Viktorovna, Chair of the Altai Regional Public Organization “Center of Tatar Culture ‘Dulkyn’ (Wave)”.
Flora Viktorovna began by introducing the children to the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatar language, and the traditions of the Tatar people. Participants of the Duslar ensemble showcased traditional Tatar costumes, recited poetry, and performed lively songs in both Tatar and Russian.
The children were captivated as they watched a cartoon based on Gabdulla Tukay’s fairy tale “The Water Spirit”. National games with prizes also sparked great interest among attendees.
The event concluded with a presentation on Tatar cuisine. Following the Tatar tradition of hospitality, everyone was treated to sweet chak-chak, and the children had the chance to try on traditional costumes for photos.
