Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, is currently on a working visit to Sochi. As part of his visit, he met with Galina Moskaleva, Deputy Mayor of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of ongoing cooperation as well as interaction with the neighboring Republic of Abkhazia. Particular attention was given to the organization and safety measures for the upcoming Southern Sabantuy, scheduled for May 3. This year, the festival is being held in the context of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, giving the event special historical significance.

Mr. Shaykhraziev also spoke about the activities of the World Congress of the Tatars and shared details of his recent trip to the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, highlighting Tatarstan’s role in the restoration of Lysychansk and the current living conditions in the newly integrated territories.

Galina Moskaleva expressed her gratitude to the Tatar Cultural Autonomy of Sochi, emphasizing the organization’s important role in promoting interethnic harmony and bringing together diverse communities within the city.
