A crescent has been ceremoniously installed on the minaret of the “Fatyma” mosque, which is under construction in the village of Kuyuki, part of the Pestrechinsky muhtasibate. The ceremony was attended by mosque worshippers, local religious leaders, honored guests, as well as sponsors who contributed to the construction. Among them were the general contractor and one of the main investors, Damir Giniyatov, Director of LLC “Construction Company Uspekh,” and Rafis Valiahmetov, General Director of LLC “Volga Mobile Mechanized Column,” along with others.
Construction of the two-story mosque, with a total capacity of 500 people, began in 2023. It was named in honor of the mother of one of the first initiators of its construction — Rafis Safinovich Valiahmetov, who donated the land for the mosque.
The mosque is planned to include: a large prayer hall for men, a women’s hall, two classrooms on the second floor, an imam’s room, as well as men’s and women’s ablution facilities. Invited guests and participants of the ceremony toured the building site of the mosque.
It is worth noting that the interior finishing work is still ongoing in the “Fatyma” mosque. It requires connection to water supply, electricity, and gas systems, as well as the installation of heating, underfloor heating, and other essential work. Plans also include landscaping the area, creating parking for cars, and providing amenities for people with limited mobility.
The continuation of the project requires financial support. Donations can be made in several ways, with details for contributions provided below.
The Pestrechinsky muhtasibate has 25 mosques, while the village of Kuyuki itself has three: a wooden mosque on Ovrashnaya St., the two-story “Faruaz” mosque on Umyrzaya St., 24, and the “Fatyma” mosque on Mirnaya St., 2. Salavat Hazrat Arslanov has been appointed as the imam of the new “Fatyma” mosque.
