November 28 and 29, in the city of Kazan, in the G. Kamal State Academic Theatre at 19.00, a premiere dance show “Kazan treasures” performed by the dance ensemble “KAZAN” will take place.

The production used in-depth study of historical materials about the traditions of national ornaments, about the rites of the Tatar people, oriental bazaar and cultural backgrounds combined with modern technical effects of video and music.

The dance show program consists of several actions. Directly more than 50 artists of the ensemble involved, about 500 costumes sewn. Such a scale and professional approach with the involvement of cultural studies and historians in the study of the historical details of dress, behavior, events allowed the ensemble in a new way to discover and share the dance history of the Tatar people from the time of the great migration to the formation of the modern Kazan.

On the screen, spectators will see images of ancient Tatar buildings destroyed by time, historical monuments of folk culture, natural areas of Tatar lands and a wide steppe.
