These days, the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted by People’s Artist of Russia Anatoly Shutikov, is performing on tour in China.
The extensive tour began in Shanghai, with a concert at the Shanghai Opera House. The orchestra is scheduled to give 15 more performances in cities across China, including Ganzhou, Zhuzhou, Xiaogan, Lijin, Yantai, and others.
The ensemble presents a diverse program featuring Tatar, Russian, and Chinese music, as well as a special segment dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, celebrated this year.
The touring group includes 50 musicians, and the tour will continue until November 15.
