An exhibition dedicated to the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman will be held in Kazan

On November 29, 2025, the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition “In the Name of Universal Values: Traditions of Mutual Understanding, Good Neighborliness, and Peace in Oman” will take place at the oldest mosque in Kazan — the Marjani Mosque. The exhibition is dedicated to the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman. The event is organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Awqaf of the Sultanate of Oman.

Earlier, the exhibition was solemnly opened at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque on November 26, 2025.

The exhibition will become a significant cultural event for Kazan, offering a unique opportunity to explore the history, culture, and traditions of this remarkable country.

Visitors will learn about key historical milestones in the development of the Sultanate of Oman, its contribution to world culture, the specifics of its religious life, and its architectural traditions. Special attention will be given to the country’s efforts aimed at strengthening interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding among nations.

The opening ceremony will take place on November 29 at 11:00 AM (Moscow time) at the Marjani Mosque (Kazan, Kayum Nasyri St., 17). Participants will include Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamil Hazrat Samigullin, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, and the Minister of Religious Affairs and Awqaf of the Sultanate of Oman Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al-Maamari. Representatives of the government, relevant ministries of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as public and cultural figures are also expected to attend.

The exhibition at the Marjani Mosque will be open for public visitation on November 29–30, 2025.

Media accreditation for the opening ceremony is mandatory. Accreditation must include the name of the media outlet, the representative’s full name, passport details, and a list of equipment. Accreditation is open strictly until 18:00 on November 28.
