On November 29–30, the educational project “Aqyl Fabrikasy” was implemented in Chelyabinsk for the first time. The event was organized by the World Forum of Tatar Youth together with the National-Cultural Autonomy of Tatars of Chelyabinsk. The two-day program included lectures, creative workshops, discussions, and project work sessions.
The project opened with an introductory tour of Chelyabinsk and a meeting with local youth. Afterwards, the Chairman of the World Forum of Tatar Youth, Raynur Khasanov, gave a detailed presentation on the forum’s activities and its current initiatives. The Chairman of the Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy of Chelyabinsk, Vitaly Badretdinov, presented the main areas of national and cultural work in the region.
Several thematic platforms operated within the project. The Director of the Tatar Book House, Aidar Shaykhin, shared his scientific and creative observations. Together with him, participants explored questions such as: “Who is the most lyrical poet of the Tatar people?” and “Where are the millions of our nation?” In addition, they learned about Turkic musical instruments: the head of the “Alpar” ensemble, Almaz Askhadulla, conducted a practical workshop on playing the kubyz.
The program continued with a session dedicated to Tatar-language media content. Blogger Leyla Lerón spoke about the current state of Tatar content, key trends, and prospects for its development. The day concluded with a discussion on the qualities and responsibilities that the Tatar youth of the 21st century should embody.
The second day began with the dance masterclass “Irtänge Bäräqät.” Participants were then invited to join several creative workshops:
• Islamiya Garaeva led a masterclass on decorating tote bags;
• Niyaz Gataullin shared practical advice on videomaking;
• Raynur Khasanov demonstrated creative opportunities offered by artificial intelligence;
• together with Azat Akhmetzyanov, participants created their own sticker sets.
A key highlight of the project was the project session — a workshop focused on generating ideas and forming initiatives for developing the Tatar youth environment in Chelyabinsk. Participants identified which projects are most needed by local Tatar youth communities and presented their proposals.
The project concluded with a quiz organized by the Association of Tatar Students. Hosted by Mansur Iskhakov, it became one of the most engaging and emotionally vibrant parts of the entire program.
The first “Aqyl Fabrikasy” in Chelyabinsk demonstrated the high level of activity, enthusiasm, and willingness for collaboration among local Tatar youth. We express our sincere gratitude to all organizers and participants for their contribution to making this project a success.
