An exhibition summarizing the first annual republican graphic arts competition to open at the Gallery of modern art

On December 16 at 4:00 p.m., the Gallery of Modern Art of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan will host the opening of an exhibition presenting the results of the first Annual Republican Graphic Arts Competition. The competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and conducted by the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan.

More than 70 participants from educational institutions across Tatarstan submitted works dedicated to the main theme of the competition, “Defense of the Fatherland”. The exhibition will showcase the best works, and the winners will be awarded diplomas, gifts, and cash prizes.

The participants include students and pupils of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, children’s art schools, gymnasiums, and other institutions of secondary and supplementary education from Kazan, Yelabuga, and Naberezhnye Chelny.

The works were created using digital techniques and submitted in the following categories: billboard, social media infographic, poster, postcard, and documentary video. The projects reflect the lives and heroic deeds of prominent natives of the Kazan Governorate and the Republic of Tatarstan who made significant contributions to the defense of Russia at critical moments in its history. Among them are M. N. Musin-Pushkin, a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812; I. F. Likhachev, a participant in the defense of Sevastopol during the Crimean War of 1853–1856; heroes of the Great Patriotic War P. M. Gavrilov, M. P. Devyataev, and M. M. Jalil; as well as heroes of the Special Military Operation, including D. N. Islamov and others.

The exhibition will be open to the public on the second floor of the Gallery of Modern Art of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (57 Karl Marx Street) from December 17 to December 23, 2025, inclusive. Admission is free.
