Meeting with the leadership of Tatar Public Organizations of the Volga Federal District held in Samara

As part of a working visit to the Samara Region, Vasil Shaykhraziyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, met with leaders and activists of Tatar public organizations of the Volga Federal District.

The meeting was attended by Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, Governor of the Samara Region; Vasil Shaykhraziyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars; Ilsur Ikhsanov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Bashkortostan; Mars Tukaev, First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars; as well as heads and representatives of Tatar national and cultural associations from Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Udmurtia, Perm Krai, and the Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Samara, and Ulyanovsk regions.

Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, governor of the Samara Region, delivered a welcoming address to the participants. He noted the significant contribution of the Tatar community to the socio-economic and cultural development of the region, emphasized the importance of preserving interethnic harmony, and thanked public organizations for their active civic engagement. As part of the meeting, a ceremony was also held to present a Certificate of Honor from the Governor of the Samara Region to a representative of the Tatar community.

In his address, Vasil Shaykhraziyev emphasized that such meetings with leaders and activists of Tatar public organizations have been held annually since 2018 across all federal districts of Russia and have become an effective platform for direct dialogue and coordination of joint efforts. He expressed satisfaction that in 2026 the Volga Federal District meeting is being held in Samara.

A key item on the agenda was reviewing the activities of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars for 2025 and discussing plans for 2026. It was noted that the past year was marked by large-scale projects aimed at preserving and developing the Tatar language, culture, and traditions, supporting youth initiatives, and strengthening cooperation with regional public organizations.

Reports and speeches were delivered by members of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, including Fakhrutdin Kanyukaev, President of the Samara Regional Creative Public Organization “Duslyk”; Alfred Davletshin, Representative of the World Congress of the Tatars in the Republic of Bashkortostan; Ildus Davlyatov, Chairman of the Orenburg Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy; Ramis Safin, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ulyanovsk Regional Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy; as well as other leaders of regional organizations.

As a result of the meeting, key areas of work and priority tasks for the World Congress of the Tatars and regional public organizations for 2026 were outlined.
