On the 7th day of the month of Sha’ban (January 26), the opening of the annual largest exhibition of the Persian Gulf and Middle Eastern countries – Gulfood 2026 in Dubai – took place.

The ceremonial opening of the Russian national stand at Dubai Expo City was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Nikolaevna Lut, Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Marat Azatovich Zyabbarov, and the Head of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Agroexport” Ilya Nikolaevich Ilyushin.

At the Gulfood exhibition, the Russian stand is represented by 40 major companies. Within the framework of the event, the Russian side has planned 190 contracts and 950 business meetings.

After the launch of the Russian stand, the official delegation proceeded to the opening of the stand of the Republic of Tatarstan, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The official stand of the Republic of Tatarstan separately features the activities of the Halal Standard Committee of the Muslim Spiritual Board of the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of the exhibition, companies certified by the Committee are presenting their products at the collective stand of the Russian Federation.

The Halal Standard Committee of the Muslim Spiritual Board of the Republic of Tatarstan is represented at the international exhibition Gulfood by the Chairman of the organization, Abbyas Hazrat Shlyaposhnikov. During his trip, Abbyas Hazrat plans to visit the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC).

The Gulfood 2026 international exhibition in Dubai features thousands of new exhibitors showcasing food products, ingredients, and culinary practices. Participants have the opportunity to establish new business connections and conclude commercial deals. Visitors to the exhibition can get acquainted with leading brands, discover the latest products, connect with key industry players, and explore innovations and future trends in the food industry.
