On the 1st day of the month of Ramadan (February 19), a meeting of Kazan imams took place at the residence of the Muftiate of Tatarstan, with the participation of hazrats from more than 80 parishes. The session was chaired by the Deputy Mufti for work with muhtasibats, the imam-khatib of the Kazan “Mardjani” mosque, Ravil hazrat Zuferov.

The agenda included issues of active work with the population during the month of Ramadan, including religious education and dawah (preaching/outreach), the training of qualified personnel and Quran-hafizes, and the preservation of Tatar-Muslim traditions, among others.

Additionally, discussions were held on supporting participants in the Special Military Operation (SVO) and their families, the upcoming 14th Republican Iftar, and the organization of Tatar language lessons for schoolchildren within the framework of programs at mosque courses and spiritual educational institutions in the cities and district centers of Tatarstan. The project is being implemented under the title “Bez tugan telne oyrenyabyz!” (We are learning our native language!) from March 2 to May 29.

The meeting concluded with a speech by the head of the ANO (Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization) “Center for Social and Cultural Adaptation of Foreign Citizens” of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustem Amanov, who spoke about the activities of his organization.
