The “National Assembly” is held between the congresses of the World Congress of the Tatars to address pressing current issues and to determine strategic directions for the development of the Tatar nation in the changing modern context.
This annual event is traditionally aimed at studying the history of our people, the peculiarities of religion and spiritual heritage, as well as passing these values on to the younger generation.
The honorary delegate was welcomed at the Kazan railway station by Farhad Latypov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Chief of Staff.
The event will conclude on August 28 with a plenary session at the M. Jalil Opera and Ballet Theater, attended by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
The festival will also feature a drawing contest called “The Cultural Map of Kazan,” where each participant can showcase their creativity and win prizes.
