On April 7, 2017, the Institute of History of the RT Academy of Sciences donated the first copy of the seven-volume "History of the Tatars" and the monograph "The Golden Horde in World History", which was published for the first time in English, as a gift to the Bodleian Library of Oxford University. Director of the Institute of History after Sh. Mardzhani Rafael Khakimov gave valuable monographs to Lidia Wright, an employee of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the Bodleian Library.

April 7, 2017, in Oxford, the international conference themed "Tatars in World History", a working meeting of the Institute of History after Sh. Mardzhani RT Academy of Sciences with its European colleagues: professor Istvan Vashari from the University after Ettesh Lorand (Budapest, Hungary) and professor Dariusz Kolodzeychik from the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw and the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place.

April 8, 2017, in Oxford, the conference "Tatars in World History" was held. The organizers of the conference appeared the Institute of History after Sh. Marjani RT Academy of sciences together with partners from Oxford University.

March 23, at the Russian Ethnographic Museum, the official opening of the exhibition "The World of the Tatar Culture of the 19th-20th Century" took place. The organizers of the exhibition are: the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Ethnographic Museum, with the support of the Tatar national-cultural autonomy of St. Petersburg.

The Organizing Committee of the All-Russian (with international participation) scientific-practical, historical and regional studies conference "Problems of studying, preserving and reviving disappeared villages", which will be held in Aznakaevo (Tatarstan), reports the following:

February 24, 2017, a presentation of the book by one of the classics of Tatar literature "Let's pray" in a literary salon of the cafe "Central" with the great success was held.

On March 25, the 1st All-Russian Congress of Tatar Local Studies worked at the National Center "Kazan".

The Krasnoye selo (Red Village) to host events dedicated to the Day of lifting the blockade of Leningrad.

January 21, 2017 (Saturday), Centre of Tatar culture of the city of Ulyanovsk hosted the conference of Tatar ethnographers of the Ulyanovsk region. It was attended by scientists from the Institute of History after Sh. Mardzhani and the Institute of Tatar Encyclopedia and Regional Studies of RT Academy of sciences.

Another issue of Tatar-speaking popular science magazine "Beznen Miras» (№ 12, 2016) with the publications of scientists of the Institute of History of RT Academy of sciences after Sh. Mardzhani was published.
