The event will conclude on August 28 with a plenary session at the M. Jalil Opera and Ballet Theater, attended by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
The festival will also feature a drawing contest called “The Cultural Map of Kazan,” where each participant can showcase their creativity and win prizes.
The courses were part of a large-scale educational project organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg and the Northwestern Region of Russia, together with the Cultural and Educational Center Dagestan.
The 3rd Republican Festival of Women’s Craft “Bista Shale” (“The Sloboda Shawl”) brought together masters of downy shawl knitting and folklore ensembles from many districts of Tatarstan.
The program will simultaneously include the 7th World Forum of Tatar Women, the 9th World Forum of Tatar Youth, and the All-Russian Meeting of Tatar Local Historians.
