An art exhibition dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria has opened in St. Petersburg

The exhibition presents works by artists – members of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan: Ildus Vakhitov, Tatiana Lushnikova, Alim Nyrov, Roman Abdullin, Daria Prozorova, Elmira Mustafina, Azat Galimov, Ekaterina Chinakhova, Robert Mif and Saniya Bakhtiyarova.

Renat Valiullin expressed his deep gratitude to the organizers, participants of the project and the leadership of the House of Friendship for organizing the exhibition. The artistic director of the exhibition, Ildus Vakhitov, introduced the participants and briefly spoke about the appearance of these canvases and the unifying concept of the collected works.

The exposition tells about the development of Muslim culture on the territory of Tatarstan and Russia as a whole. The exhibition will be held until October 23 (at the address: Potemkinskaya st., 2).
