The journey of Tatar journalists to Malye Shirdany

Participants of the All-Russian Forum of Tatar journalists visited the native village of Kayum Nasyri – Malye Shirdany. Here they got acquainted with the museum-library named after him.

On the 196th anniversary of the birth of the great Tatar scientist and educator Kayum Nasyri, a library-museum was opened. Its opening is one of the important steps for the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of ethnotourism.

The journalists were also at the Kayum Nasyri Mosque. The great Tatar educator took over the financing of the construction of this mosque in 1901.

Later, the journalists visited the architectural and ethnographic museum named after Kayum Nasyri in the village of Bolshoy Achasyr. The museum was opened on March 1, 1997.
