Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev is on a working trip to Tyumen.

There is a Center of Tatar Culture here. It was created in order to preserve the national identity of the Tatar population in the city.

The building of the Center is an architectural monument and was built in 1889 by the merchant of the 1st guild, the mayor Filimon Kolmogorov.
