Due to heavy rains that caused widespread flooding and inundation of populated areas, the Republic of Dagestan is currently experiencing severe consequences from the natural disaster. The exact scale of the damage is still difficult to assess – the situation remains extremely critical. People have lost their homes and belongings, and rescue efforts for residents and domestic animals are ongoing.
