Today, May 12, a press conference dedicated to the 16th All-Russian Forum of Tatar Religious Figures took place at the building of the World Congress of the Tatars.
On May 15–17, the 16th All-Russian Forum of Tatar Religious Figures titled “National Identity and Religion” will be held in Kazan and Bolgar. The forum will traditionally bring together imams, Islamic scholars, clergy representatives, and public figures from all corners of Russia. More than 1,000 delegates from 78 regions of the Russian Federation will take part in the event. This is the largest gathering of Muslim clergy in Russia, aimed at strengthening unity, exchanging experience, and discussing pressing issues of Islamic life in a multinational country.
Journalists were informed about the forum’s program and the events held within its framework by Danis Fanisovich Shakirov, Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars.
Also speaking at the press conference were Mars Rifkatovich Tukaev, First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Head of the Committee for Work with Tatar Public Organizations in the Regions of the Russian Federation, and Alfred Amirovich Davletshin, representative of the World Congress of the Tatars in Bashkortostan and Imam-Khatib of the “Ikhlas” Mosque.
The forum continues the traditions of dialogue and interaction between the Muslim community, clergy, and state structures, contributing to the strengthening of national identity and spiritual culture of the Tatar people.
