Compatriots in Uzbekistan celebrated the 25th anniversary of a new statehood of Tatarstan

September 3, 2015, at the conference hall of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan a round table was held dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the new statehood the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Republican International Cultural Center (RNKTS) Mironov S.A., Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan Shulika V.N., representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Shakirov, employees the Russian Embassy, chairmen and activists of the Tatar Public Cultural and Educational Centre (TOKPTS), the Bashkir cultural center after Z. Validi (CSD), the Crimean Tatar cultural center “Avdet”, Russian Cultural Center, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in

Uzbekistan, the public , mainstream media journalists, students, fellow citizens.

With warm, sincere greetings and congratulations to the gathered Shulika V.N., Mironov S.A addressed. They emphasized that Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in all areas of life in the Russian Federation, pointed to its growing international authority, praised the role of the Tatar Diaspora in consolidation of the Russian compatriots, and preservation of international peace and harmony among the peoples of Uzbekistan.

In his speech, Chairman of the Council of Elders and CSD TOKPTS Giniatullin R.A. stressed that the people of Tatarstan are proud of their union with Russia and today see their future only in a peaceful coexistence with all religions, nations and ethnic groups, preserving their national heritage, honoring the tradition.

The report by Shakirov R.A. has been heard on importance of this anniversary date in a life of Tatarstan and Russia as a whole. August 30, was a special date for all of Tatarstan and the Tatars living outside their historic homeland. On this day in 1990, the Supreme Council of Tatarstan adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Tatarstan – a historical document, which recognized the realization of the inalienable rights of the Tatar nation, the entire multinational people of the republic to

self-determination, the right to their own land, subsoil and natural resources. Tatar and Russian languages have been proclaimed state ones, all citizens are guaranteed equal rights, regardless of nationality, social status, religious or political beliefs.

The significant progress has been made by Tatarstan over past 25 years. The Republic in an interregional comparison with 85 subjects of the Russian Federation, in 2014, holds :

7th place in Russia in terms of GRP;

3rd place in Russia in terms of agricultural production;

5th place in Russia in terms of industrial production;

5th place in Russia in terms of investment in fixed assets;

6 place in Russia in terms of the construction work;

8th place in Russia in terms of housing.

Today, the Republic of Tatarstan produces 30 million tons of oil. Produced 18% trucks, 39% polyethylene, 30% of all car tires manufactured in Russia.

The whole world witnessed the highest level of the Universiade in Kazan, the World Cup in water sports.

The Republic of developed a strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030,

which was approved by the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan on June 17, 2015 № 40-ZRT. As the President R.N. Minnikhanov marked the Republic of Tatarstan, “A symbol strategy – leopard, flying in a rapid jump. He is pushed off by a strong industrial base and rushes into the knowledge economy and innovation, thus symbolizing our society ready for rapid development, to a constant renewal. ”

At the round table, videos of the Republic of Tatarstan were shown, on its achievements in economy, industry, education, science and sports.

At the end of the event, the organizers of the meeting discussed ways to implement the plans and further cooperation in order to promote cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
