The first day of the “Kaz omase” (“Goose Feather Festival”) took place in the Muslyumovsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars, Danis Shakirov, took part in the award ceremony of the festival.

“This festival has a deep meaning. Today we have to present it as one of the national prides. I thank Albert Khuzin, Head of the district, and his team for organizing the event at a decent level. You managed to preserve the basis of the ritual,” he said.

Head of the World Organization of Tatar Women, Kadriya Idrisova, also noted the importance of holding the festival to preserve national traditions and educate the new generation in the spirit of the Tatar people.

Danis Shakirov presented diplomas and memorable gifts to the winners of the competition. The winner of the Grand Prix of the festival is the Hamadishin’s family from the Muslyumovsky district.
