February 7, 2014 , the first meeting of the Advisory Council at the head of the municipality, the Kasimovo Town Duma chairman on interethnic and interreligious harmony was held in the conference hall sports complex Leader in Kasimovo town. The meeting, besides the members of the Board was attended by the town intellectuals, the Town Duma deputies. honorary citizen of Kasimovo, representatives of public and religious organizations, residents, for whom inter-ethnic and inter-confessional relations are not indifferent, representatives of law enforcement agencies. Members of the Council discussed information on the activities planned for the 2014 by national-cultural associations and religious organizations in the municipality – the town district Kasimovo.

The Advisory Council has been established in accordance with the decree № 1б, as of 09.01.2014 of head of the municipality, the Kasimovo Town Duma chairman F.I. Provotorov. The Council consists of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, Islam and Judaism, Chairman of Kasimovo Tatar autonomy, Town y Duma Chairman, Vice Chairman, Head of the Town Administration, honorable citizens of Kasimovo, a representative of the Youth Parliament of the town – all in all – 17 members.

The purpose of the Council is to ensure cooperation of local governments , public and religious associations, scientific and other organizations on matters of inter-ethnic relations. Among the objectives of the Council: development and implementation of measures aimed at strengthening interethnic and interreligious harmony, support and development of the languages and cultures of the peoples of the Russian Federation, residing in the town district, participation in the prevention of terrorism and extremism, raising awareness on interethnic and interreligious harmony.
