The winners of the Student of the Year of the Republic of Tatarstan 2023 award were determined in Kazan. The Grand Prix was presented the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

This year, a record number of applications were submitted for the award: more than 530 from 29 universities of the republic. In total, Kazan awarded the winners in twenty nominations.

The laureates and winners in each nomination were awarded by iconic personalities of Tatarstan, whose fields of activity are related to the direction of the award. Thus, the prize for the best patriotic club of the year was awarded by the Hero of Russia Rasim Baksikov. The winner in another nomination, “Student Government Body of the Year”, was awarded by Roscosmos cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Sergey Ryzhikov. He said that he is still a student himself, and shared his memories of the years when he was a cadet.

The best student media of the year was awarded by the head of the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications “Tatmedia” Aidar Salimgarayev.

Guzel Gazetdinova, a student of the Energy University, became the winner of the Grand Prix. She received the opportunity to study at any university in the world under the Algarysh program. Guzel Gazetdinova also received an award from SIBUR, the main partner of the award.
