In Vienna, laid flowers at the monument to the heroes of the Soviet army

Today, October 12, the delegates of the Third Congress of the Tatars of Europe gathered in the Austrian city of Vienna with flowers laying at the monument to the Soviet soldier. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council Vasil Shaykhraziev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Austria Dmitry Lyubinsky.

During World War II, 17,000 Soviet soldiers laid their heads in the struggle for Vienna. On August 19, 1945, a monument was unveiled to Soviet soldiers who   had died during the liberation of Austria from fascism on Schwarzenbergplatz square. The authors of the monument are sculptor M. A. Intezaryan, architect S. G. Yakovlev.

We remind  that today at the Russian Center for Science and Culture, a plenary meeting of the III Congress of the International Association of Tatars of the European Union “Alliance of Tatars of Europe” will be held.

The international association “Alliance of the Tatars of Europe” was established by 27 Tatars from 15 countries of Europe. Initially, the alliance included 17 organizations.

The association currently has 27 organizations from 14 countries in Europe

Heads of Tatar organizations and activists from 17 European countries take part in the extended meetings of the Alliance Board, conferences, festivals. In Vienna, laid flowers at the monument to the heroes of the Soviet army.
