On June 5-11, the XVI International Theater Festival “Nauruz” will be held in Kazan. The festival program will be composed by theaters from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russian regions.

In total, the festival received more than 60 applications.

Performances will be held at seven venues in Kazan: the Large and Small Halls of Galiasgar Kamal Theater, the Large and Small Halls of Ekiyat Puppet Theater, Karim Tinchurin Theater, Gabdulla Kariev Theater and Kazan Youth Theater.

In order to develop theatrical ties, the upcoming festival is dedicated to the theaters of the peoples of the North Caucasus.

The founder of the festival is the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
