The delegation of St. Petersburg took part in the forum of Tatar local lore

The Executive Committee of the World Tatar Congress October 29-30, 2015,  held  an All-Russian Forum of  local lore  in Kazan,  for which from  many regions of Russia came  more than 150 local historians: journalists, teachers, museum workers, representatives of other professions, united by an interest in the history of the Tatars in the places of their residence. We note the number of the most representative of the delegation were from Bashkortostan. For the first time in one room we met Kazan expert historians, many enthusiasts, researchers and students of the Kazan universities.

The forum held a round table with the participation of historians from the Institute of History  after  S.Mardzhani,  Tatar Encyclopaedia Institute and the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, book presentations  by Kasim Yusupov of Bashkortostan, and Fauziya Bairamova,    dedicated to the native land and mother of  a prominent Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov, an ethnic Tatar. Special interest of participants and guests  caused  an exhibition  of regional literature. A special stand made books on the history of the Tatar community in St. Petersburg, published in our city. This is  collection of “Tatars in St. Petersburg. 300 years of the city “, edited by prof. E.A. Rezvan, the works  by  A.D.  Telyashov “Tatar community in St. Petersburg. The 300th anniversary of the city “,” Tatars in the Great Patriotic War and the siege of Leningrad. On the 60th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 1000th anniversary of Kazan”, ” Tatar community in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. Portrait Gallery “, in collaboration with H.G. Saybatalov. Author of this article, “Muslims in the life and culture of St. Petersburg (XVIII-XIX centuries.)”, “Mosque of St. Petersburg: project implemented, by  the story of the Muslim community,” “The Book of Musa Efendi, his time and his contemporaries” and collections Cultural Foundation ” Famous universitarians “in three books of which (” The multinational peace  in Petersburg University, “” Famous universitarians in the spiritual world of Russia “and” St. Petersburg University Culture in the Russian abroad “) were published in  historical essays by the author of the Muslims teachers and students and graduates of the St. Petersburg Imperial University and Leningrad State University 1950-1960-ies.

In the school curriculum  of general education the  course  of “World history” is not enough information about the Tatar people, so the forum was proposed to develop a series of regional studies,  works as an additional material in the study of the history of Russia, to establish the magazine “Tugan Yak” (“Native Land”) in the Tatar and Russian languages,  create an “All-Tatar local lore society”, due to the need to streamline, enhance the quality of research in the areas of historical residence of the Tatars. The main activity of “All-Tatar local lore society” is to prepare the multi-volume “History of Tatar villages” (in collaboration with the Institute of History after  Sh. Marjani); creation of  site of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars information base, covering the history of the Tatar settlements; preparation of consolidated work “Historical Genealogy Tatars”; the creation of a complete list of the Tatars, who died during the Great Patriotic War and the publication of the “Book of Memory”; writing  of the books “Modern Sabantui: regional perspective” and “Tatar associations and policy documents (1980s – 2000s)”; compilation of directories, “Tatar settlements in the Russian Federation”; “Tatar schools and schools with Tatar ethno-cultural component in the regions of the Russian Federation”, “Tatar amateur in the regions of the Russian Federation”, “The holy places of the Tatars in the Russian Federation”, the modern Tatar mahalla and the mosque in the Russian Federation. ”
