The Hermitage Museum opens an exhibition dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Renat Valiullin took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Treasures of the Land of Short Nights. On the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria”

The State Hermitage Museum has prepared this exhibition, which is being implemented within the framework of the program of National Projects of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The visitors were presented with monuments of different historical epochs, which allow us to trace the continuity of the traditions of Volga Bulgaria and the culture of modern peoples.
