Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov will start the year of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR next Thursday, December 19. This was announced by the official representative of the Kazan Kremlin Lilia Galimova at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Next week, the republic will start the year of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. Celebrations will be held in the concert hall named after Ilham Shakirov at  the  Kazan Expo, in which delegations from municipalities, participants of the forum of the World Congress of Tatars “Business Partners” and 800 invited state and public figures will take part. At the beginning of the event, a speech by the President of the Republic is planned, where he will officially launch the year of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. Then a concert program is planned, ”Galimova said.

In the year of the anniversary, Tatarstan will receive the new building of the National Library, the through traffic on the Big  Kazan Ring will open, Kazan will host the New Wave music festival, the Kazan Kremlin reminded.

“Since the 100th anniversary of the TASSR is not only a republican holiday, celebrations are planned in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions of the country, as well as abroad, where our compatriots live,” said Galimova.

We remind  the decree on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
